Leon (odonian.bandcamp.com) and I first started talking about doing a split tape over ten years ago. At the time we were both still working in a used book store and digging for records together in our spare time. For whatever reason (probably my own laziness combined with our mutual poverty), we were just never able to get something going back then.

It's finally happening now. All of Leon's tracks were produced in 2021, and mine are mostly from the same year. The digital version has some extra stuff I produced from 2015 - 2020. They all felt like they fit the "Pure Cicada" vibe/space well enough, and I think people should get a chance to hear some of the older stuff I've been sitting on. All together, I think this represents some of Leon and I's best work ever. Hopefully there is more to come soon.

Ben Roth (bodcamp.bandcamp.com) did an incredible job mastering this hodgepodge with such short notice. I'm happy to pass on his contact info if you are interested, and catch him on tour with Car Seat Headrest this year!

P.S. Vital Beach def had some QC issues with the last tape we had produced, so we've moved all the production in house for this one. Very sorry if you were one of the people who got a botched Combat//Mommy (combatmother.bandcamp.com) tape, hopefully you let me know and I was able to make it up to you.
